These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of services and parts by Wessex Autocentres Group Ltd (“the Company,” “we,” “us”). By booking a service, MOT, or repair via our website, over the phone, or in person, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Estimates:
Any price provided online or over the phone is an estimate based on the information provided. A final price will be confirmed once the vehicle is physically inspected.
Authorization:
We will not carry out additional work found during an MOT or service without your express verbal or written consent and a clear quote for the extra costs.
Cancellations:
We appreciate at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. While we currently offer free cancellations on many bookings, we reserve the right to charge a “late cancellation fee” if resources or parts have already been specifically allocated to your vehicle.
We provide the facility to book and, in some cases, pay for services through our website or third-party partners (e.g., BookMyGarage, Klarna Payment Assist).
Payment Processing:
Online payments are processed via secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party gateways. We do not store your full credit or debit card details on our servers.
Payment Assist:
We may offer “Payment Assist” or similar finance options. These are subject to a separate agreement between you and the finance provider; Wessex Autocentres is not the lender.
Refunds:
If you prepay online and subsequently cancel within the allowed timeframe, refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 working days for the bank to process the transaction.
Courtesy Cars:
Provided subject to availability and specific insurance criteria. You are responsible for any fuel used and any fines/penalties incurred while the vehicle is in your possession.
Storage Fees:
Vehicles must be collected within 24 hours of notification that work is complete. We reserve the right to charge a daily storage fee for vehicles left beyond this period without prior arrangement.
Parts & Labour:
All repairs are covered by a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) on parts and labour, unless otherwise stated (e.g., budget tyres or temporary repairs).
Exclusions:
Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage caused by misuse, neglect, or modifications made after the vehicle left our care.
Statutory Rights:
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR. We use your data to manage your bookings, process payments, and send MOT reminders. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
